When completed in 2026, The Park at Expo Idaho will be a regional showcase utilizing the natural landscape of Ada County’s Expo property to best serve and inspire everyone who visits this unique area.

Ada County Commissioner Ryan Davidson, Chairman Rod Beck, and Commissioner Tom Dayley look forward to collaborating with all the key stakeholders involved in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop a truly unique destination park that appeals to a wide variety of interests and activities.

The Park at Expo Idaho Will:

  • Correct open space inequity within Garden City through the creation of an accessible and inclusive new Public Park Facility.
  • Create a new civic and community center for Garden City characterized by direct access to nature-based experiences.
  • Contribute to the well-loved network of urban parks along the Boise River and Greenbelt.
  • Offer unique, high-quality urban outdoor recreation amenities for Garden City.
  • Enhance potential experiences and activities afforded by Expo Idaho.
  • Expand opportunities for urban biodiversity through the provisions of the extensive habitat creation and native planning.
  • Create soft infrastructures within the park with the capacity to accommodate water-related events.
  • Generate positive economic impact through the provisions of nature-based recreation programs and activities that attract park visitors from Garden City and beyond.
