Lonna Breshears Receives International Association of Fairs and Expositions Certified Fair Executive Status

Lonna Breshears of the Western Idaho Fair was honored at the 2022 Management Conference of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) as a recipient of the Certified Fair Executive (CFE) designation.

“I’m very proud and pleased to see Lonna obtain her certification, it involves a lot of time and hard work. Lonna is a valued member and asset to our team at Expo Idaho.” said Bob Batista, Director of Expo Idaho and Western Idaho Fair.

Lonna Breshears was one of five CFE recipients recognized during a ceremony at the IAFE Management Conference in Phoenix, Ariz. Lonna Breshears has been with the Western Idaho Fair and Expo Idaho since 2010, starting as a ticket seller and then becoming the Account Clerk in 2011. Since 2015, Lonna has served as the Business Manager of Western Idaho Fair and Expo Idaho with significant oversight of a wide range of activities for the Fair and other events.

The purposes of the CFE program are to: a) provide incentive for professional improvement in fair management, b) recognize those who achieve the specific standards, and c) develop professional status in the field of fair management. Certification also honors those members who have demonstrated their abilities through years of service to their fairs, fair associations, communities, and the Association.
